The Seamaster Planet Ocean Deep Black ETNZ Edition
Launched to mark the lead-up to the 37th America’s Cup in Barcelona, the Seamaster Planet Ocean Deep Black Emirates Team New Zealand Edition pays tribute to the defending champions by blending the deepest black with the bold colour of the Emirates Team New Zealand logo.
To help the kiwis catch the breeze in Barcelona, OMEGA drew design inspiration from the sail of the Emirates Team New Zealand logo, highlighting specific elements of the watch in the same striking colour. The result is a unique America’s Cup collectable in celebration of OMEGA’s support of Emirates Team New Zealand, which began in 1995.

On the gradient white-to-turquoise central seconds hand, OMEGA has included a tribute to the oldest sporting prize in the world: an America’s Cup trophy counterweight. The famous cup is also a key element of the Emirates Team New Zealand logo.

The matt ceramic dial includes a nod to pre-race protocol with a COUNTDOWN INDICATOR at 3 o’clock complete with flagged START. The indicator’s hand and subdial ring are in the logo’s distinctive turquoise, along with the minute track, number 12, Seamaster wording and water resistance.

As a salute to the kiwi crew, the NAIAD LOCK caseback has an Emirates Team New Zealand logo with turquoise fern sail and white lettering. Circling the logo are the words PLANET OCEAN DEEP BLACK and the watch’s water resistance. OMEGA has also engraved a lug with the symbol for ceramic [ZrO2].

The unidirectional bezel in black ceramic has a white enamel diving scale and triangle-framed dot at 12, which includes white Super-LumiNova to emit a green glow in the dark.
